Explore a hidden Dutch National Park
What’s one thing that surprises our Dutch ambassador, Manon? That so few people know about a place in her home-region: the Wadden Sea. What’s the best way to reach the Wadden Sea? What should you do when you get there? What should you do to find accommodation? Manon tells all. First up, you can absolutely rely on the Netherlands’ excellent and reliable network of public transport to reach the Wadden Sea and the islands nearby. Here’s an insider’s tip: instead of taking a boat to one of the islands, consider getting there by mudflat walking! Don’t worry, you won’t have to haul your bags. You can load them on a boat and pick them up when you reach your destination. As for practical tips, Manon suggests spending at least two days on each island. And make sure to book in advance, especially during peak season!
