Waxy Cap Mushroom Fair
The fair offers a wide range of events including tasting of mushroom dishes, exhibitions, conferences and competitions related to mushrooms, as well as a children’s festival called Tocats del Bolets (Touches of Mushrooms) for the youngest mushroom fans.
The fair is held in the historic centre of Cardona, dating back to the first half of the 11th century when a small hamlet or suburb was created.
You can wander through the Medieval town, marvel at the grandeur of the Roman and Gothic temples and re-live sieges and battles in the impregnable castle. Visiting Cardona gives you the chance to experience the feeling of being inside a salt mountain, a truly unique place, and to enjoy walks in an exceptional natural and rural environment.
