BeethovenFest Bonn

Beethovenfest Bonn is one of Germany’s largest and most forward-looking classical music festivals, celebrating the legacy of Ludwig van Beethoven in the city where he spent his childhood and formative years. Rooted in Bonn’s deep connection to the composer, the festival is inspired by Beethoven’s youthful, progressive, and outward-looking spirit.

Each year, Beethovenfest creates a contemporary setting in which artists reinterpret Beethoven’s work while exploring its relevance today. The program features around 80 concerts, ranging from performances by leading international orchestras to innovative cross-genre projects and pop-influenced interpretations.

Beyond concerts, the festival offers a rich program of talks, exhibitions, and workshops, inviting audiences of all ages to engage with Beethoven’s music in new and accessible ways. By combining tradition with experimentation, Beethovenfest Bonn presents classical music as a living art form—dynamic, inclusive, and firmly rooted in the present.

Held in a city that shaped one of the world’s greatest composers, Beethovenfest Bonn offers visitors an inspiring cultural experience that bridges musical heritage and contemporary creativity.
