Winter solstice celebration and market Gardu Muti
The first Market “Ar Gardu Muti” took place in 2012 and six were organized in 2013.
At least 40 – 60 craftsmen from Vidzeme and other Latvian regions take part in the Market “Ar Gardu Muti” in Valmiermuiza.
To enrich the Market with new tastes and flavours of our neighbouring country, the organizers are pleased to invite and to welcome local Estonian homemade grocery craftsmen to join the event at Valmiermuiza. They welcome small homemade grocery craftsmen, who sell goods made from local, natural ingredients.
The Latvian homemade grocery Market “Ar Gardu Muti” in Valmiermuiza takes place outdoors, in front of the Valmiermuiza historical barn and Valmiermuiza brewery.
The Latvian handcrafts Market „Ar Gardu Muti” is a project of Valmiermuiza cultural Society to popularize Latvian annual solstice festivities, to favour the activities of local outworkers and to develop gourmet tourism in Valmiermuiza
