Ireland’s food scene is all about fresh, seasonal produce served with that famously warm welcome, no matter what your diet is.

Dublin city offers a veggie haven called Cornucopia on Wicklow Street. Their menu, changed daily, is a culinary adventure you won’t want to miss. Looking to start your day right? Póg has five cafes dotted across the Dublin area and is famed for its huge array of pancakes.

Veginity is a plant-based food truck parked on South Circular Road each weekend. Stop by for a mushroom fillet roll (veggie take on the beloved chicken fillet roll) and fresh apple pie donuts. If you’re perusing the trinkets at George’s Street Arcade, call in at Blazing Salads and build your own salad bowl or try a vegan burger.

Looking for the perfect road trip pitstop? Situated in County Louth, Strandfield offers a wide array of fresh and hearty vegetarian dishes, from mouthwatering mushroom and crispy kale pizza to light pesto and tomato bruschetta, made with produce from the Strandfield garden.

In Belfast, you’ll find Jumon, with mouthwatering Asian vegan and vegetarian cuisine like scallion pancakes and malayoo peanut curry. Delicious! Jump on a train to Holywood and take a stroll along the beautiful Belfast Lough. Feeling peckish? Stop by the town’s fully plant-based café, Lynchpin. Delve into coconut yogurt with chocolate and orange segments, some French toast, or wholesome Tuscan beans. Dreamy!

For something a little different, head to Belfast’s Cathedral Quarter, where you’ll find Pizza Punks offering a huge range of pizzas with loads of quirky vegan toppings to choose from. Fancy a six-course feast? Six by Nico serves up an incredible veggie spread centered on different themes that change every six weeks !

In County Antrim, you’ll find the award-winning Ursa Minor Bakehouse. This Causeway Coast bakehouse is part of the Économusée project, which is designed to showcase traditional crafts. The obvious love of baking is reflected in the team’s beautifully intricate designs.

Along the Wild Atlantic Way, Galway city is a treasure trove of creativity and the food scene has something to suit every palate. Jemi Lighthouse dishes up locally sourced produce with flair. Try the vegan Reuben blaa (smoked tofu edition) and the Monaghan mushroom burger to fuel you on your travels.

Located at Spanish Arch, Rè Nao is an Asian restaurant with a huge vegan menu, and the open kitchen allows guests to see their homemade noodles, dumplings, and bao buns made from scratch while enjoying a delicious cocktail from the bar.

Venture down to Cork city, get ready to be dazzled by Paradiso — a true trailblazer on the vegetarian food scene since 1993. This is a fine dining extravaganza for veggies and vegans alike that’s sure to tickle your tastebuds. Sonflour is a Cork city staple for vegans and vegetarians with Italian street food including pasta, pizza and focaccia.
