Belgrade Dance Festival
Belgrade Dance Festival celebrates two decades of continuous success and international recognition. As in previous years, the program is sensational, although the jubilee brings a special radiance and the selectors’ decision that all performances should bring inspiration and enthusiasm. In honor of dance, amazing artists and great companies will gather, open up important topics that analyze modern society through an interesting and diverse vocabulary of movement, and create moments that have the power to change the world and trigger the most beautiful emotions.
Under the slogan Together, we celebrate dance, the promoters of the next festival are dancers born at the same time when the first editions of the event that became a world brand were created.
Thanks to this Festival, Belgrade has become an important spot in the biography of artists who create trends, a place where new productions are discovered, and where well-known and young authors are represented with equal attention. The actuality of the program has determined the position of the manifestation on the international map, while high standards and bold introduction of new choreographic manuscripts and aesthetics enhance the expectations of the audience and dictate content creation. By representing dance through its superb range, the Festival won over audiences on its journey of twenty years. Since its founding, almost 500 choreographic works have been presented, while every year the Festival was followed by an average of 20.000 spectators and 100 accredited local and international journalists.
