Each year, Bratislava’s historic city center becomes a lively showcase of Slovak folk art during ÚĽUV Master Craftsmen Days. This free, family-friendly event celebrates traditional craftsmanship through live demonstrations, artisan presentations, a market of handmade products, and creative workshops for children led by the ÚĽUV School of Crafts, recognized in UNESCO’s Register of Good Safeguarding Practices for Intangible Cultural Heritage.
Visitors can discover master-crafted items, learn about time-honored Slovak techniques, enjoy hands-on activities, and experience local culture in the heart of the city. The event also includes a family relaxation and play zone, along with food areas serving traditional Slovak cuisine.
The event is free to attend and takes place in Bratislava Old Town, around Hviezdoslav Square and Rybné Square. The area is centrally located and easy to reach by public transportation, including tram lines 1 and 4.
