St. Dominic's Fair takes place each summer in the historic center of Gdańsk, usually from late July to mid-August. For several weeks, the streets of the Main Town and riverside areas along the Motława fill with market stalls, performers, and visitors, continuing a tradition dating back to the 13th century.
Established in 1260 as a trading fair, it remains linked to the city’s maritime and commercial heritage. Today, artisans, collectors, and local producers present crafts, antiques, regional foods, and handmade goods. Walking through the fair, visitors move between historic streets and temporary market spaces reflecting both tradition and contemporary design. The program includes open-air concerts, street theatre, exhibitions, and family-friendly activities throughout the day and evening.
The fair is free to attend and spread across central pedestrian areas, within walking distance of the main railway station. It can also be reached by tram and bus from other parts of the city, making it easy to combine with exploring Gdańsk’s historic waterfront and surrounding neighborhoods.
