Held for more than 300 years, Sinjska Alka is a traditional chivalric tournament in which mounted knights race through the streets of Sinj, aiming their lances at a suspended metal ring. Deeply rooted in local history and community life, the event preserves medieval customs, craftsmanship, and values of fair play. Inscribed on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list, Sinjska Alka is a powerful symbol of Croatia’s living traditions.
