The ING Night Marathon Luxembourg, held every May, is one of Europe’s most memorable night races, taking runners through the illuminated streets of Luxembourg City. The route winds through neighborhoods including Kirchberg, Limpertsberg, Belair, Merl, Hollerich, Gare, and the city center.
Starting at Luxexpo The Box, the event includes a full marathon, a half marathon, and a Team Run relay. Newer runners can join the 5K Run For Success, while the Roll&Run welcomes participants on wheelchairs, skateboards, scooters, and other wheels.
Young runners can take part in the Minimarathon for ages 12–18 or the Mini Minimarathon for ages 5–12, making the event a great choice for families, too.
The course showcases Luxembourg City’s dramatic urban scenery, from hillside streets and the green Pétrusse Valley to historic fortress walls and landmarks such as the Adolphe Bridge. Along the way, music, DJs, light shows, and cheering crowds create a festive after-dark atmosphere, ending with an energetic stadium finish.
