Idrija lace is a traditional bobbin lace-making technique, recognized on UNESCO’s Intangible Cultural Heritage list. The festival program includes exhibitions, live lace-making demonstrations, professional showcases, and a range of cultural events. The event takes place in Idrija, a former mining town in western Slovenia whose heritage is also listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Most events are free to attend, while some exhibitions and experiences require a ticket.
