Each July, the quiet fields near the village of Grunwald in northern Poland fill with the sounds of armor, horses, and voices from the past. The annual reenactment recalls the Battle of Grunwald of 1410, when Polish-Lithuanian forces defeated the Teutonic Order in one of the largest battles of medieval Europe.

Hundreds of participants in historical dress reenact key moments of the battle, while visitors can walk through medieval camps, watch craft demonstrations, and learn about everyday life, warfare, and the period's traditions.

The event is designed for both history enthusiasts and those discovering this part of Europe for the first time. Today, the gathering is not only a reenactment but also a meeting point for communities and historical groups from across Poland and beyond, reflecting a shared interest in heritage and public history.

The event takes place annually in mid-July. Admission to the main grounds is free, while selected performances require tickets. The site is located about 18 kilometers from Olsztynek, a small town in the Warmia and Masuria region, and about 40 kilometersm from Olsztyn. Visitors can reach the area by regional train or bus from Olsztyn, with connections from larger cities such as Warsaw or Gdańsk.
