The Éimaischen festival, with roots stretching back to at least 1827, is one of Luxembourg’s most beloved traditional events. At its heart lies a vibrant craft market, renowned for its exquisite pottery and ceramics.
A standout attraction is the charming Péckvillercher—tiny terracotta bird whistles sold exclusively at the festival. Each year brings new designs, and eager visitors line up early to secure these delightful collectibles. The two largest markets are held annually on Easter Monday, one in Luxembourg City and the other in the picturesque town of Nospelt.
As the cheerful calls of the whistles mingle with the lively sounds of folk festivities, the festival comes alive with a warm, enchanting atmosphere that is unmistakably Éimaischen.
