The stars are aligning for your Danish sojourn

Some journeys are simply written in the stars — and in 2026, Denmark is one of them. Whether you’re chasing peaceful nights beneath cosmic skies or celebrating world-class cuisine and high-speed cycling, the year ahead in Denmark promises experiences for travelers seeking culture, flavor, and wonder.

So, pack your curiosity and see what the stars have in store for your 2026 journey through Denmark!

Wander beneath the stars in Denmark

April brings International Dark Sky Week, a perfect time to pause, look up from everyday life, and reconnect with the universe. In Denmark’s official Dark Sky Parks—protected areas far from city lights on the islands of Møn, Nyord, Mandø, Anholt, and at Bulbjerg in the Thy region — the night sky shines at its brightest. Whether you’re standing on windswept dunes or watching starlight ripple across calm island waters, this is astrotourism at its most peaceful. Ultimately, it is also a reminder to slow down, breathe deeply, and let your thoughts drift among the stars.

Taste the stars in Tivoli Gardens (and beyond)

In June 2026, Copenhagen’s Tivoli Gardens will sparkle with more than fairy lights when it hosts the MICHELIN Guide Ceremony Nordic Countries. The beloved park in the heart of the city is the perfect setting for the event, blending Danish tradition with international innovation. Home to numerous Michelin-starred restaurants and more than 100 recommended establishments, Denmark has transformed from a culinary underdog into one of Europe’s brightest gastronomic stars. Today, the Danish food scene offers a feast for all the senses, from world-renowned chefs to local producers—all celebrating creativity from earth to table. And 2026 is the perfect year to taste it all!
