Rioja Alavesa Wine Harvest Festival
Each year, after the crushing of the grapes and the tasting of the first must, the tasting of the wines from the Rioja Alavesa begins. Labastida will be filled with stands dedicated to the different localities that make up the Rioja Alavesa region.
Additionally, the extensive programme of events includes an aizkolaris (wood chopping) tournament, a local lunch, performances by musical and dance groups, games and activities of various kinds for children, parades with traditional folkloric music played in the streets by groups of locals and a small fair bringing together artisan products bearing the quality mark.
