Kapitulská ulica
In the center of the bustling capital, Bratislava, you’ll feel as if you’re a century in the past. Take a lovely evening stroll along one of the oldest streets, first mentioned in 13th-century records. Its history emerges from the architecture; the walls tell stories of palaces and houses. Escape from the city’s usual soundscape into this dreamy atmosphere. Several remarkable historical buildings on Kapitulská ulica have been preserved as part of the city’s cultural heritage. At first glance, your attention is drawn to the three-story building of the Faculty of Theology, which stands opposite the Prepoštský palác (Provost’s Palace), and the Collegio Emericana building. These are the works of Italian architects J. Rava and his son, who brought a type of late Renaissance architecture from Rome to Bratislava.

Klariská ulica
The age of this settlement was demonstrated by the discovery of three Roman buckles during work on the sewer system. Today’s Klariská ulica likely dates back to roughly the mid-13th century. The street’s most prominent features are the church and the Clarissine Convent, for which construction began in 1297. The church was completed in the 14th century. Its dominant feature is its unique five-sided Gothic tower.

Trnava
The city walls built around the historic center of Trnava date to the 13th century. This unique, distinctive monument ranks among the most important monuments of its kind in Central Europe. The four reasons why these walls can boast of their uniqueness are their age, material, length, and extent of preservation. Nowadays, you can cycle comfortably along the path around most of the walls. In several sections cyclists can choose whether to enjoy the view of the city walls from inside the city or remain “beyond the gates”. The length of the cycling paths around the walls will soon equal the length of the walls themselves, which is almost 3 kilometers.

Prešov
The city of Prešov offers delightful escapes: visit Hlavná ulica, where you’ll find all the ingredients needed to please your taste buds at Poetika Prešov, a bistro located in a historic 17th-century townhouse. This escape from the busy street will reward you with a lovely environment where you can choose from a rich menu of cultural and culinary experiences.

Get to know local craftsmen in the charming Ulička Remesiel (Crafts Alley) on Hrnčiarska ulica (Potter’s Street). Enjoy a cup of fragrant coffee, discuss the magic of Habana ceramics with a local potter, or explore healing plants at an herbalist’s. In Ulička Remesiel you’ll completely forget that you’re right in the city center.
