2. Swamp Soccer World Championships

Prepare to get down and dirty at the Swamp Soccer World Championships in Hyrynsalmi, nestled in Finland’s arctic Lakeland region. Originating from the training routines of Finnish cross-country skiers, this fusion of fitness and football draws over 200 teams and 2,000 players from across the globe annually to compete for the title of the muddiest team. No attire or body part remains clean in this spirited event!

3. Finnish Gold Panning Championships

4. Air Guitar World Championships

For over 25 years Finland has hosted the Air Guitar World Championships, a quirky event in Oulu, situated in the northern part of the Finnish Coast and Archipelago region. Contestants from around the globe come together to strum imaginary guitars, all in the name of promoting world peace. As the organizers put it, if everyone were playing an air guitar, no one could hold a gun.
