Soak up the atmosphere of the Olympic Games
Are you getting ready to travel to Paris to experience the world’s biggest sporting event for yourself? If you are, be sure to head for Parc de la Villette in the northeast of the French capital, where you’ll feel the exceptional Olympic atmosphere during the Summer Olympics. Here, in the Park of Nations will be 15 different national houses where individual countries will present their culture and cuisine. The premises will also serve as a base for members of the national Olympic teams.
Maison Slovaque – Slovenský dom (The Slovak House) is a wonderful place to visit for anyone at the Olympic Games who loves sport and its values. In the Ventrus restaurant and its immediate surroundings, you’ll find a micro-world full of interesting activities, performances, and workshops, as well as a delightful place for meeting up, celebrating successes, and enjoying the tranquil summer atmosphere of the park.
In the spirit of the Olympics, various sporting activities await at Slovak House that will introduce you to Slovakia’s authentic culture and natural diversity. You can ride a virtual reality bike along attractive tourist routes, by cultural and historical monuments and natural highlights, and then test your balance on a balance platform. The rich program also includes a show featuring Slovak folk costumes, examples of Slovak folk dance, a dance workshop, and samples of folkcrafts, as well as concerts and a photo exhibition.
Paris in Bratislava
You can also experience the atmosphere of the Olympic Games when you visit Slovakia. The 17 days of the event in Paris will be brought closer at the Olympic Festival in Bratislava. The lake itself is a favorite spot for joggers and wakeboarders. This event is intended for families, designed to have an Olympic Games atmosphere very similar to what visitors to Paris will experience. You’ll be able to test your skill in more than two dozen sports disciplines alongside well-known athletes, enjoy great food, and have fun at concerts and other cultural events. What’s more, every day there will be competitions for interesting prizes.
