Spain: sun, shopping, beach and culture
Have I told you already in my other itineraries that it is very easy and convenient to travel within Europe with public transportation, including trains, coaches, planes and urban transportation?...Low cost flights connecting hundreds of cities and towns in Europe, make planes a cheap and fast option to get to from point A to B.
For getting from Roma to Barcelona I took Vueling, a Spanish low-cost carrier, which offers good service for a very low price.
Barcelona....Gaudi, sun, beach, an amazing nightlife and a beautiful landscape in the surroundings. Besides the most famous sights in Barcelona, such as Parc Guell, the harbour and Sagrada and also visited Montserrat, an amazing mountain, only 30min away from Barcelona. Don’t miss to chill out at the beach during the evening and have some drinks in one of the beach bars.
After 4 amazing days in this beautiful city, I took a coach to Madrid. During the trip I was able to enjoy the nice landscape of Spain’s inner land and had an interesting talk with locals, who told me about the Spanish civil war.
Madrid is totally different to Barcelona, but nevertheless an amazing city as well. During my last days of the trip, I went to a couple of museums and enjoyed Madrid’s famous nightlife. Don’t forget to visit Toledo, a medieval town, just 30min by high speed train from Madrid...
To put it in a nutshell – my trip to Europe was worth every penny and I can highly recommend visiting the old continent!
